Woollen cloth, woven in Yorkshire

Woollen cloth, woven in Yorkshire

Our woollen fabrics are woven in Yorkshire at a mill whose textile history reaches back to the 1700s. The region has long been associated with British wool production, supported by skilled makers and specialist knowledge passed down through generations.

From fibre preparation to weaving and finishing, the cloth is developed with careful attention to performance and longevity. These are fabrics designed to endure, with a quiet depth of colour and structure.

Leather basket buttons, Made in Japan

Leather basket buttons, Made in Japan

Sometimes known as “football buttons”, our traditional leather basket buttons are constructed from 100% leather and made in Japan.

Each button is woven from narrow leather strips around a solid core, creating a distinctive textured surface and subtle tonal variation. They are often used on outerwear and knitwear, where their depth and structure complement heavier cloths. Traditionally favoured on coats for their resilience and grip, they perform well against thicker fabrics and repeated fastening.

Made at the North London factory

Made at the North London factory

The majority of our garments are made in the same North London factory we have worked with for over a decade. Over that time we have built a close working relationship grounded in trust, mutual respect and shared standards.

The factory is a short journey from us, and we are there regularly – reviewing samples, discussing details and refining patterns. Design and production are not separate stages; they are part of a single continuous process. From fabric sourcing and initial ideas through to pattern cutting, sewing and finishing, we are involved throughout.

We are proud of the garments that leave the workshop and of the skilled people who bring them to life.
